THE STORY OF LOON SONG & ANDY CONDON
london/toronto

Andy and I went to Fanshawe College together in 1976/77
Creative Electronics became Music Industry Arts that year
a brief window of opportunity

I can maybe count a handful of people (outside family)
who I can say I've 'loved' unconditionally
Andy was one of them for me - so musical
and an elevated grasp of physics/acoustics
Super smart guy - not a whole lotta 'style'
but an enigma nonetheless

Great ear. He loved Night Parachuting
and wanted to master it at Soundfield, Toronto
as a gesture of our friendship
for free

We played in 2 bands together in school earlier on
tall, lanky/thin, quiet/reserved - dirty brown hair to his waist
personal hygiene was sketchy and he had creepy laugh
like he already knew what you were thinking before you were
a functional drummer & brilliant on so many levels
sneaky, inspiring

Becoming a gifted acoustician/audio mastering engineer
and facility designer post grad, having designed sound/acoustical
at several renowned concert venues
including Roy Thompson Hall, Wintergarden Theatre & Danforth Music Hall
Health issues kicking in early. Andy spent the last 7 years of his life
bed ridden - the potential still staggers me

I have some very fond memories of a friend
I will never forget.
