systemic racism is something that diminishes all of us of course its worst effects are for its victims but our entire country is held back through the inequality and the mistrust that it creates pete buttigieg

FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH the story behind entangled OM temple redux is 25 years in the making
in 1995/96, I received a Toronto Arts Council grant then a FACTOR loan to do a new world music album I called it temple having to rush it’s completion (because FACTOR gave me a deadline to deliver CDs) it fell short, even having taken 2 years seeds were however planted I've since dissected & remixed it (3rd time) now here in 2020 finished my first inspiration came from having watched a scorsese film years earlier called 'last temptation of christ' and the soundtrack blew me away I bought my first CD player that summer (1988) and listened to peter gabriel's 'passion' endless times, fascinated several years, then even decades later and finally temple redux
FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH the story behind radion radion (long story): a scalar field in quantum field theory in spacetimes with additional dimensions radion (short story): a rave club in amsterdam that still thrives not sure why I'm drawn to such sound/imagery atm djs & beatmakers who would have thought being able to move so many people in the moment like that with just a few toys and crystal clear volume I remember back in the early 90's working at cherry beach sound studio in toronto there were these illegal raves that would blow in and would be packed quietly rented warehouse out back almost under the radar curious one night late, finishing a session ... I went sketchy bouncers, $20 to get in, right ok - loud all they had to drink was this kool-aid punch for $3. I was thirsty the sound & visuals were stunning walking into it, drinking my punch I was the oldest guy there like 40 what? realizing these kids were lit like christmas trees only because I was too total blast
carry the battle to them don't let them bring it to you put them on the defensive and don't ever apologize

FOR WHAT IT'S WORTH the story behind dead ahead it's a POV thing corn fields? right long story no time alpha bravo charlie whisky delta tango we are ready to fight for our right to believe in our country ... and there's nothing in this manual that says I have to like you you look different so, na ... so you? gotta go battle lines drawn - shadowy shapes shifting enemy in my sights ... dead ahead a blast from the past - then the future collateral damage imminent how does it feel to be a casualty nope, that doesn't belong to you it belongs to us putting these sounds together something different finding this game stuff playing with it with the music rearranging kinda works - fun to watch layering in more synths and voices on the final pass before merging the final audio mix from logic to the fine cut/picture edit in final cut
I don't get war, never did for some (many), it's just what is never questioning why we humans hate each other so much we just do
the story behind audition Feb/20 remix of a remix right think of it like there's this amazing cake and now there's icing on it ok, after a spurt of originals from scratch I'm back into remix land here there is this small scene, primarily in London U.K. just a few years old in my ongoing curiosity for fringy shit I came upon it - very cool it's loosely called 'wave' and is the vision of a few young European electronic music beatmakers the most notable being French born øfdream who took his own life last year this is his remix of London dark wave dj verasect it was about 5 minutes long I took about 2 minutes, chopped it up then stretching it out, kicking it up a notch adding more analog synths and voices ample logic automation on the mix a total blast the idea of crusty old men gawking at a pole dancer came up early on the track really ripped but felt incomplete and I needed something visual that would cut I think making the clip was as much fun it feels finished now this is my 4th øfdream reconstruction earlier remixes are on two lives & three lives (links below) now watch it again (and crank it)! let's dance
