The Suggestion
I mean, ok ... we humans are so very open to suggestion. We like the idea of someone, preferably a man, to take control of all the shit we have to deal with, telling us what to do. Even better, if WE benefit more than others. Kind and cruel. Financial. Win-win yes?
Your halo is blinding
I'll give you this, many Liberals come across as being precocious, even indignant at times, changing the rules and demanding they be followed and most Conservatives LOVE playing the victim card. Insecurity, resentment, blame & shame. Everything is ALWAYS someone else's fault. They don't care because it doesn't matter. You're either a winner or loser and when I win? You will most certainly lose and FREEDOM? Is conditional, depending on how I feel that day. Honestly? I don't see one as any worse than the other, just dangerously different.
Stuck in muck
I wrote a blog post in Feb. 2016 called THE SUICIDE COLLECTIVE shortly after the first Trump Presidency began. It was a sordid affair based on what I was seeing, not unlike the shit-storm we are entering into again ... only amplified this time. None of that really mattered, then. A tongue in cheek overview of humanity if you will; some restraint, with an option to take it seriously, if the reader wishes to. An elective.
Nothing permanent.
THE SUICIDE COLLECTIVE
I posted it shortly after writing it. A suggestion that millions of Americans (in particular) are/were in fact (at that time) committing suicide. I know, WHAT? Ok figuratively. A stretch? Definitely. A Jimmy Jones/Jonestown narrative only expanded into a nationalist movement called MAGA.
No one was interested in my duelling diatribe. Maybe 10 views, no comments/feedback. The quintessential blog failure. Later thinking, maybe I’m just ahead of my time lol. The idea hangs on 9 years later. Gaining traction, at least in my imagination. Since then we have regressed and the observation seems even more real. A tragic trajectory impairing most best case scenarios. Ok, it's getting harder to remain optimistic. That said? I am. It's all so perilously precarious and now it's very much Canadian too. Sad.
It's just so much easier to become consoled in conjecture and wallow in anger & despair than try to remain positive, and so ...
EPILOGUE
A new MO/modus operandi for those following their malicious master. If this all blows up then so be it. I'd rather die with dignity, than surrender to a weaker woke ideology. All quite sensible actually. Standing for what you believe in. Heroic yes? I mean, we deserve better right? Ok some of us. It's grounded in good scripture - a sure fire remedy for all ailments relating to privileged enlightenment.
Now? A righteous entitlement, handed down. Granted by the powers that be. Ours! Permission to purge. Permission to punish. And so it must continue as such right? Should this end of times continue spiralling like we want it to, shall we honour it with grace and glory.
Seems suicidal to me.
