ALICE 24
backstory

in 1994 (pre internet), I was hired to compose music
for a CD ROM for Alice in Wonderland
by a production company in the Netherlands
co-ordinated through a GTA producer

Toronto advertising media wunderkind
David Buder brought me on to do the soundtrack
having just released my 3rd album
night parachuting

I had some experience doing kid's music
for my wife then, Jody Terio
who had a children's theatre company
called Little Red Theatre
and a home studio now in north Parkdale to create it
setting up to finish Alice that summer
surrounded by gear
and storyboards

30 years later, pulling it out
dusting it off - tossing in some vintage Disney
some AI, a new remix here and shazam

it's unfortunate that CD ROMS
(entertainment/gaming/information)
never took off and the project
fizzled upon release as the format
quickly disappeared from the market

computer programs continued to sell
on discs until around 2003
before the CD ROM became extinct

that said, it was a whole lot of fun
doing it
